Press Activities

We welcome members of the press to some exciting press activities in connection with ESOF2004. The receptions below are free of charge for members of the press, that have registrered (for free) for ESOF2004. In order to obtain a ticket for the Presidents Reception and the Reception in the Stockholm City Hall, attendance must be marked on the registration form (on-line or the print registraton form). You will find your invitation to the Press Reception in the Press Kit you will be given with your conference bag upon registration at the venue on Wednesday 25 August.

Press Programme on Swedish Life Science Research, 11.00 hrs, 24 August

Business Arena Stockholm invites journalists to a Press Programme on Swedish Life Science Research. It will showcase topics such as the Swedish innovation system, Karolinska Insitute, research in neurodegenerative diseases and reserach in rheumatoid arthritis. The Press Programme begins at 11:00 hrs at Karolinska Institutet.

Venue: Karolinska Institutet, Nobel Forum. Solnav. 1

Road description: Take the subway to Sankt Eriksplan. At Sankt Eriksplan change to the blue bus number 3 towards Karolinska. Nobel Forum is located at the bus station Karolinska.

The Presidents' Reception is hosted by Torsten och Ragnar Söderbergs Stiftelser at Norra Latin, 25 August

Venue: Stockholm City Conference Centre, Norra Latin, Drottninggatan 71 B

Press Reception, 20.15 hrs, 26 August

The Press Reception is hosted by Biovitrum at the Nobel Museum, 26 August. Light refreshments will be served. At 20.30 hrs the European Science Writers Award will be held at the Press Reception.

Venue: The Nobel Museum , Stortorget 2.

Press Lunch, 12.30-14.30 hrs, 27 August

Reception at the Stockholm City Hall, 19.00 hrs, 27 August

The reception is hosted by the City of Stockholm and the County Council at Stockholm City Hall (the venue for the Nobel Prize dinner). In order to obtain a ticket, attendance must be marked on the registration form. A limited number of tickets is available.
